ORD-13-82 APPROVING THE RECLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY SITUATED N AND S OF CHAPMAN SE OF NEWPORT BLVDORDINANCE NO. 13- 82 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING SECTION 17.06. 020 OF THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE AND APPROVING THE RECLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY SITUATED NORTH AND SOUTH OF CHAPMAN AVENUE, SOUTHEAST OF NEWPORT BOULEVARD AND SOUTHWEST OF SANTIAGO CANYON ROAD.PRE-ZONE CHANGE 961 CITY OF ORANGE RECITALS:WHEREAS, after report thereon by the Planning Commission and after due public hearings as required by law, andafterfindingthefactsasshownbyResolutionNo. 5684 adopted bytheCityCouncil, the City Council of the City of Orange has concluded that the following amendment to Section 17.06.020 of the Orange Municipal Code should be adopted; and WHEREAS, there now exists in the unincorporated territory of the County of Orange certain real property hereinafter described which is designated as County of Orange A- I District; and WHEREAS, the City of Orange desiresthatthepropertyhereinafterdescribedbeclassifiedasCity of Orange PI District upon completion of annexation proceedings incorporating the territory into the City of Orange.NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:SECTION I:The following described real property is hereby changed to City of Orange PI District, said zoning to be effective upon annexation of said real property to the City of Orange. Said real property is more particularly described as follows:That portion of Block 17 of Irvine's Subdivision in the County of Orange, State of California, as per map filed in Book 1, Page 88 of Miscellaneous Records of said County, and said land described in the deed to RanchoSantiagoCommunityCollegeDistrictrecordedMay2, 1980, in Book 13595,page 1825, of Official Records of said County, described as follows:BEGINNING at a point in the existing boundary line of the City of Orangesaidpointbeingthemostsoutheasterly corner of "Annexation No. 265" to said City, saidpointalsobeingtheintersection of the northwesterly boundary of said Irvine' s Subdivision with the centerline of Chapman Avenue; thence following along said existing boundary line as established by "Annexation No. 300" to said City and following along said north-westerly boundary, south 350 51' 03" west, 36.75 feet; thence leaving said existing boundary line of said City of Orange and said northwesterly boundary south 710 30' 14" east, 1448.50 feet; thence north 180 29' 46" east, 1078.60 feet to the centerline of Santiago Canyon Road; thence along said centerl ine of San tiago Canyon Road, north 260 011 32" west, 230 ... 25 feet; thence leaving said last described centerline, south 630 58' 28" west, 390... 80 feet; thence south 760 331 39" west 205.78 feet; thence north 570 24' 13" west 204..24 feet; thence north 440 15' 08" west, 340 ... 55 feet to a point in said existing boundary line of said City of Orange as established by said "Annexation No. 256" and said northwesterly boundary of said Irvine's Subdivision; thence along said existing boundary line and said northwester ly boundary, south 350 50' 52" west, 1033.00 feet, and south 350 51' 03" west, 46.65 feet to the Point of Beginning. Con taining 30.00 acres, more or less. SECTION II: This ordinance shall be published once fifteen (15) days after its passage in the Orange City News, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Orange, and shall take effect thir ty (30) days from and after the date of its final passage.
