MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE
AFORE-MENTIONED
SECTIONS.WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange hasheretoforedeterminedthatthetrashandrubbishcontractorfortheCityhasexperiencedcostincreaseswhichjustifyanincreaseofpaymentofcompensationtothecontractorforcollectingtrashandrubbishwithintheCityofOrangej
and WHEREAS, the aforementioned increase in payments to thecon-tractor necessitates the increase of sanitation and sewagechargestothevarioustypesofoccupanciesandservicesmoreparticularlydescribedinSections13.60.020, 13.60.030 and 13.60.040 oftheOrangeMunicipalCode;
and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that said increaseofsanitationandsewagechargesshallbecomeeffectiveonJanuary1,1982, or as soon thereafter as this Ordinance shall become
effective.NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGEDOESORDAINAS
FOLLOWS:SECTION
I:Sections 13.60.020, 13.60.030 and 13.60.040 of theOrangeMunicipalCodeshallbeamendedas
follows:13.60.020 Charges in connection with sanitation andsewagestem. The City furnishes to its residents services andfacili-ties in connection with its sanitation and sewage system,
and other services to provide a clean and healthful environment. For Such services and facilities, the following charges are fixedtopremisestowhichasewermainis
available:A. Single-family dwelling, $3.16
per monthi B. Single-family dwelling units in anyduplex, double house,and other buildings containing onlysingle-family dwelling units,
3.16 per month;C. Apartment house, $3.16 per monthforeachapartmentunit.When the director of public works determines thatitisnotreason-ably POssible to place a trash bin at
an active water meter service for a building generating trashinexcessoffive45-gallon containers per week, the charge
for each unit of such mUltiple-family building shall be
an additional $3.16 per month;D. Hotel, motel, bungalow court,
or auto court, $3.l6 for each
E. Hotel, mote~, bun9alo~ court, or auto court, 86 cents permonthforeachdwe~llng ~nlt Wlt~ pri~ate toilet facilities only,other than a dwell~ng un~t descrlbed ~n subsection D above;
F. For each water closet in any hotel, motel, bungalowcourt, or auto court other than a water closet in any dwellingunitinsubsectionsDandEhereof, the sum of $3.16 per month;
G. Rooming house, $3.16 per month, together with 86 cents
per month for each rented room:
H. Clubhouse, equipped with sanitary plumbing facilities,
3.16 per month for one water closet, and 86 cents per month for
each additional water closetj
I. For each office situated in any building other than anofficebuilding, $3.16 per monthj
J. Trailer camps or trailer parks, $3.16 per month for eachtrailerspace; provided, that if any such trailer camp or trailer
park disposes of its own trash, then the rate shall be only 86
cents per month for each trailer space;
K. For all other premises not specifically mentioned in thissectionwheresuchpremisesisoccupiedbyoneormorepersons, or
is used for commercial, professional, manufacturing, or processing
purposes with sanitary plumbing facilities, $3.16 per month for
one water closet and 86 cents per month for each additional water
closet:
L. For condominiums or townhouses with individual water
meters and utilizing bin service, 30 cents per month.
13.60.030 Trash disposal contractor--charges. The City'

regular residential service in accordance with the following

or more persons or is used for professional, commercial,
manufacturing or processing purposes, charges shall be $2.86 permonth.
SECTION II:
This Ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15)
days after its passage in the Orange City News, a newspaper of
general circulation, published and circulated in the City of
Orange, and shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after thedateofitsfinalpassage.
