STREET.WHEREAS, after due public notice as required by
law,a public hearing was duly held on February 17, 1981
in accordance with the requirements set forth in
California Vehicle Code Section 35705;
and WHEREAS, the City Council found and determined that
the public interest would be best served if motor truck
traffic was reduced on Taft Avenue because of the problems of
exces-sive noise and vibration;
and WHEREAS, the City Council further found that said'
reduc-tion of motor truck traffic would not adversely affect
com-mercial activities in the areas proximate to Taft
Avenue;
and WHEREAS, Chapter lO.52 concerns motor truck routes
within the City of Orange and Section 10.52.020 contains a list
of streets along and over which motor trucks are
prohibited.NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

II:This Ordinance shall be published once within
fifteen 15) days after its passage in the Orange City News,
a newspaper of general circulation, published and
circulated in the City of Orange, and shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of its final
