NO. 45-79
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE ADOPTING THE UNIFORM SWIMMING POOL
CODE, 1976 EDITION, BY REFERENCE, PROVIDING
FOR THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF
SWIMMING POOL PLUMBING SYSTEMS, AND WITH
CERTAIN AMENDMENTS, AND FIXING PENALTIES
FOR VIOLATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I:
Sections 8350 through 8352 are added to the Orange Municipal
Code to read as follows:
Adoption of the Uniform Swimming Pool Code,
1976 Edition, by Reference.
The Uniform Swimming Pool Code, 1976 Edition, with the
changes, additions and deletions set forth in Section 8350.1
of the Orange Municipal Code is hereby adopted by reference
by the City of Orange. The required copies are on file in
the office of the City Clerk for use and examination by the
public.
Section 8350
Section 8351 Cost of Permit.
The Uniform Swimming Pool Code, 1976 Edition, is amended by
deleting Section 1.11, Cost of Permit, in its entirety.
Section 8352 Violations and Penalties.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions
of this Code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and
each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense
for each and every day or portion thereof during which any
violation of any of the provisions of this Code is committed,
continued, or permitted, and upon conviction of any such
violation such person shall be punishable by a fine of not
more than $500.00, or by imprisonment for not more than six
months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
In addition, this Code may be enforced by injunction or
appropriate civil remedy.
SECTION II:
This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15)
days after its passage in the Orange City News, a newspaper of
general circulation, published and circulated in the City of
Orange, and shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after
the date of its final passage.
ADOPTED this 11th day of September, 1979.
