Box 449, Orange, California 92066. lJ.II.l_._-L,_...:!..E:!'_SEN L_<:'~TY _r~~E...R.Ji ORDINANCE NO. 41- 79 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE ADOPTING THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE,1976 EDITION, AND APPENDICES A-H, BY REFERENCE,PROVIDING FOR THE DISPOSAL OF LIQUID WASTE, AND WITH CERTAIN AMENDMENTS, AND FIXING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION.THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DOES ORDAIN AS Sections 8140 through 8142 of the Orange Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows:Section 8140 Adoption of the Uniform Plumbing Code,1976 Edition, by Reference.The Uniform Plumbing Code, 1976 Edition and Appendices A through H, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, is hereby adopted by reference by the City of Orange. The required copies are on file in the office of the City Clerk for use and examination by the public.Section 8141 Schedule of Permits and Fees.Section 20.7 is hereby added to the Uniform Plumbing Code,1976 Edition, as follows:Section 20.7:a) Sewer connection for each dwelling unit: $ 75.00.A dwelling unit shall mean a dwelling unit designed to be occupied by one family as defined under Section 9100.19 of the Orange Municipal Code.The cost of the sewer connection for a building designed to be occupied by more than one family shall be $75.00 for each family unit regardless of the number of such units.b) Sewer connection for buildings designed for use other than residential shall pay the following sewer connection charges:For two or less toilet connections: $ 75.00 For three or more toilet connections: $75. 00 plus 10.00 for each toilet connection in excess Section 8142 Violations and Penalties. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this Code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this Code is committed, continued, or permitted, and upon conviction of any such violation such person shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00, or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. In addition, this Code may be enforced by injunction or appropriate civil remedy. SECTION II: This ordinance sh~~l be published once within fifteen (15) days after its passage in the Orange City News, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Orange, and shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of its final passage.
