Box 449, Orange, CA 92666 i CHARLOTTE M JOHNSTON CMC CITY CLERK ORDINANCE NO. 12- 79 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING SECTION 9101 OF THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE AND APPROVING THE RECLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY SITUATED BETWEEN THE CENTERLINE OF THE SANTA ANA RIVER AND BATAVIA STREET SOUTH OF LINCOLN AVENUE. 'Pre-Zone Change 895 CITY OF ORANGE RECITALS:WHEREAS, after report thereon by the Planning Commission and after due public hearings as required by law, and after finding the facts as shown by Reso 1 ution No. 4954 adopted by the City Council, the City Council of the City of Orange has concluded that the following amendment to Section 9101 of the Orange Municipal Code should be adopted, and WHEREAS, there now exists in the unincorporated territory of the County of Orange certain real property hereinafter described which is designated as County of Orange A- I and M-l Districts, and WHEREAS, the City of Orange desires that the property hereinafter described be classified as city of Orange R-O and M-l Districts upon completion of annexation proceedings incorporating the territory into the City of Orange.NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS I SECTION I:City upon Said The following described real property is hereby changed to of Orange R-O and M-l Districts, said zoning to be effective annexation of said real property to the City of Orange. real property is more particularly described as follows:A portion of Section 7 and 18, Township 4 south, Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, Rancho santiago de Santa Ana in the County of Orange, State of California,descr ibed as follows:BEGINNING at a point on the South line of Lincoln Avenue 100 feet in width) 200 feet, more or less, West of the centerline of Batavia street (80 feet in width) as measured along said South line, said point also being on the centerline of the Orange County Flood Control District Channnel (7?feet in width) thence southerly along a line parallel w~th and distant 195 feet more or less, West of said centerline of Batavia Street a~ measured at right angles, a distance of 320 feet, more'or less, from the Southeasterly line of said Channel; thence southwesterly along a line parallel with and distant 100 feet, more or less, East of said southeasterly line of the Channel, as measured at right angles, a distance of 2500 feet, more or less; thence Easterly 180 feet, more or less;thence southerlY,435.85 feet; thence Westerly 900 feet, more or less, to a po~nt on the Orange West Olive Protection District line; thence Northeasterly along said line parallel w~ th and d~stant 400 feet, more or less, from the Northwesterly l~ ne of sa~d Channel, as measured at right angles, a distance of 2850 feet, more or less, to a point on the boundary line of Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana; thence Northeasterly along said boundary line 630 feet, more or less, to said South line of Lincoln Avenue; thence Southeasterly along said South line 330 feet, more or less, to the Point of Beginning. A portion of the West 1/2 of Section 18, Township 4 south,Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana in the County of orange, State of California, described as follows:BEGINNING at the intersection of the centerline of Batavia Street and the Easterly prolongation of the North line of the Orange County Flood control District Channel, said point being the most Northeasterly corner of Annexation No, 273 to the City of Orange, Ordinance No. 10-71, said point also being Northerly 175 feet, more or less, from the centerline intersection with Cully Drivel then Westerly along said North line of the Channel 700 feet, more or less; thence Northerly 435.85 feet to a point on a line Westerly 728.41 feet from said centerline of Batavia Street; thence Easterly along said line 443.41 feet; thence Northeasterly 500.30 feet to said centerline of Batavia Street; thence Southwesterly 757.95 feet along said centerline to the Point of Beginning, SECTION II: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its passage in the Orange, city News ~ a newsJ?aper of general circulation, published and c~rculated ~n the c~ty of Orange, and shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of its final passage.
