AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE AMENDING SECTION 9101 OF THE ORANGE
MUNICIPAL CODE AND APPROVING THE RECLASSIFICATION
OF PROPERTY SITUATED WITHIN THE SANTA ANA RIVER
BETWEEN RAMPART STREET AND THE ORANGE FREEWAY ,
INCLUDING THE ORANGE FREEWAY, SOUTH OF ORANGEWOOD
AVENUE.

RECITALS:WHEREAS, after report thereon by the Planning
Commission and after due public hearings as required by law, and
after finding the facts as shown by Resolution No. 4953 adopted
by the City Council, the City council of the City of Orange
has concluded that the following amendment to Section 9101 of
the Orange Municipal Code should be adopted,
and WHEREAS, there now exists in the unincorporated
territory of the County of Orange certain real property
hereinafter described which is designated as county of Orange A-I
District, and WHEREAS, the City of Orange desires that
the property hereinafter described be classified as City of
Orange R-O District upon completion of
annexation proceedings incorporating the territory into the
City of Orange.NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE DOES
ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:SECTION I:The following described real property is
hereby changed to City of Orange R-O District, said zoning
to be effective upon annexation of said real property to the
City of Orange. Said real property is more
particularly described as follows:A portion of Section 25, Township
4 south, Range 10 West San Bernardino Base
and Meridian, Rancho santiago de s~nta Ana in the county of
Orange, state of
California,described as follows:BEGINNING at the intersection
of the centerline of Orangewood Avenue (100 feet in width)
and the West line of the Santa Ana River,
thence southwesterly along said West line 1050 feet, more or lesS, to
a point on the Easterly line of Rampart street (
60 feet in width),thence Easterly 500 feet, more
or leSSI thence Northeasterly along a line parallel with and
distant 525 f7et, more or less as measured at right angles
from 6a~d West line of' the Santa Ana River, a
distance of 1050 feet,more or less to said
centerline of Orangewood Avenue,thence weste~lY along said centerline 5~
0 feet, more or less, to the point of Beginning,

SECTION II:
This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15)
days after its passage in the Orange City News, a newspaper of
general circulation, published and circulated in the City of
Orange, and shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after
the date of its final passage.
ADOPTED this 27th day of February 1979.
