HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD-64-80 REPEALING SECTION 5.94.010 OF THE OMC REQUIRING THE POSTING OF FUEL PRICESORDINANCE NO. 64-80 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE REPEALING SECTION 5.94.010 OF 'l'HE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE REQUIRING THE POSTING OF MOTOR VEHICLE FUEL PRICES.WHEREAS, the State Legislature passed and the Governor signed on September 19, 1980, Assembly Bill No. 2067 which will require the posting of motor vehicle tuel prices; and WHEREAS, said law provides that the price of the motor vehicle fuel may be posted in the price per liter provided a gallon-to- li ter conversion table is also displayed; and WHEREAS, Orange Municipal Code Section 5.94.010 which required the posting of motor vehicle fuel prices appears to be preempted by Assembly Bill No. 2067; and vIHEREAS, Orange Municipal Code Section 5.94.010 did not provide for the posting of motor vehicle fuel prices per liter.NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:SECTION I:Chapter 5.94, Section 5.94.010 of the Orange Municipal Code is hereby repealed.SECTION II:This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen 15) days after its passage in the Orange City News, a newspaper of general circulation, published and ~irculated in the city of Orange and shall take effect thnty (30)days from and after the date of its final passage.ADOPTED THIS ,11-h day of np~pmhpr 1980.
