LIMIT-ATIONS IN THE C-P, C-l, C-
2 AND
C-3 ZONES.
AMENDMENT 10-80 CITY OF ORANGE WHEREAS,
the Planning Commission heretofore has held a dulY advertised
public hearing on the hereinafter described amendment to the
Orange Municipal Code and has recommended to the City
Council,
by Resolution No. PC-I02-80, approval thereof.NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF
ORANGE DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:SECTION 1:Section 17.
40.070 of the Orange Municipal
Code shall be amended to read as follows:
17.40.070 Building or structural height limitations The height
of any buildinq or structure shall not exceed 30 feet or two (2) stories,
except as provided for in 17.74.010.Additional
building or structural height may be permitted
by the issuance of a conditional use permit.Sections 17.44.070,17.46.
060 and 17.48.060 shall be added to
the Orange Municipal Code to read as follows:
17.44.070 Building or structural height limitations The height of
any building or structure shall not. exce~d 30 feet or two (2)
stories within 120 feet of any resldent1a~lY zo~ed property. A
building or structure may exceed 30 feet ln helght provided
no part of such building or structure exceeds one-quarter (1/
4) of the distance measured from the g~ound.int of
the building or structure to ~he neare~t resldentlal dlstrict boundary
line, except as provlded for ln 17: 74.010.ditional

has been filed. In no event shall any such application be
approved for a proposal in excess of 35 feet. Provided
hoWever, that nothing contained in this provision shall' be
construed as insuring approval of any Design Review Board
application or issuance of any building permit.
17.46.060 Building height or structural limitations
Building or structural height limitations shall be provided
as specified in Sections 17.44.070 and 17.44.080.

SECTION II:
This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days
after its passage in the Orange City News, a newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in the City of Orange, and shall
take effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of its final passage.
