THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGEAMENDINGORDINANCENO.46-79 RELATINGTOTHERECORDSDEPARTMENTTHECITYCLERKANDTHEAPPOINTMENTOFTH~DEPUTY CITYCLERK.WHEREAS, the
state law prescribes the duties of the City ClerkintheDepartmentofRecordsoftheCityofOrange; and
WHEREAS, the
City Clerk, pursuant to state law may appoint aDeputyCityClerkwhoshallserveattheCityClerk'spleasure.NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:SECTION I:
Subsection C
of Section 2.28.020 is added to read as follows:C.
The
City Clerk may, pursuant to state law,appoint a
Deputy City Clerk. The Deputy City Clerk shall
receive such compensation and expense allowance
as the City Council shall from time
to time determine, and said compen-sation and
expenses shall be a proper charge against such
fund of the City as the City Council shall
designate. In no event, how-ever, shall
the Deputy City Clerk be entitled to any
overtime, callback or premium compen-sation in
addition to the regularly adopted compensation and
wages.SECTION II:
This ordinance
shall be published once within fifteen 15) days
after its passage in the Ora~ge City Ne,:"s, anewspaper of
general circulation, publ~shed and.c~rculated in the
City of Orange, and shall take effect th~rty (30)days from
and after the date of its final passage.ADOPTED this
