80 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING CHAPTER 17.04
OF THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE TO
CORRECT NUMBERING OF A DEFINITION AND
AMENDING SECTION 17.83.040(a) TO REVISE NUMBER
OF DAYS NOTICE TO TENANTS PRIOR TO
PUBLIC
HEARING.WHEREAS, the definition of the words "Conununity Apartment
Project"was included in Ordinance No. 38-80 as Section 17.04.192 oftheOrangeMunicipal
Code; and WHEREAS, the section number 17.04.142 assigned to the
quoted words is incorrect because the definition of Dance Area was
previously design-ated as Section 17.04.192, and, therefore, the words "
Conununity Apart-ment Project" must be assigned the section 17 .04 .
191, and WHEREAS, Section 17.83.040 provides that when there is to be a
publ ic hearing relating to an application for a condominium conversion
the City will give fifteen days written notice to all affected
tenants: and WHEREAS, the Planning Division provides ten (10) days
written notice of pUblic hearings to interested parties for all other land
use
matters;and WHEREAS, The City Council desires that said notices shall
be
consist-ent.NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
kS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I:Chapter 17.04 of the Orange Municipal Code shall be amended
by re-noomering the definition of Community Apartment Project to
read
as follows:17.04.191 Community
Apartment Project A community apartment project is one in whi?h each
r,;,sident owns an undivided interest in the land coupled wlth
the rlght of exclusive occupancy of an apartment located in
the project.Section 17.04.192 which designated the Dance
Area definition shall
remain unchanged.
SECTION II:Section 17.83.040(a) of the Orange Municipal Code shall
be amended to read
as follows:a) The City will inform all tenants ~t least ten (
10) days prior to the date of an~ releva~t p~bllC hearing
relating to the condominium
