AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE ADDING SECTION 12.48.120
TO THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROHIBIT
THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON SPECIFIED
PUBLIC PARKING LOTS SURROUNDING EISEN-
HOWER PARK DURING SPECIFIED PERIODS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange recog-
nizes that neighbors surrounding Eisenhower Park have been
continually disturbed by after-hour activity in the
park;
and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
great majority of the disturbance is generated by
individuals coming to the park, using the parking lots for
overnight parking and using the parking lots for temporary
parking while drinking, skateboarding and a variety of other
noise-generating activity;
and WHEREAS, the public peace and welfare would be
promoted if such vehicles were prohibited from parking on the
public lots during specified
hours.NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ORANGE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:SECTION
I:That Section 12.48.120 is hereby added to the
Orange Municipal Code to read as
follows:Section 12.48.120 Eisenhower Park Public parking
Lots A. It shall be unlawful between the hours of
eleven p.m. and five a.m. to stop, park or leave
standing,any vehiclewhatsoeve:- in any place on,any ~f the
following public park~ng lots surround~ng E~sen-
hower Park:
1. One lot east of Oceanview on Main Street.
2. One lot east of Oceanview off Buena vista
Street.
3. Two lots south of Bixby Avenue between Gayle
street and Westhaven Street.
Any vehicle stopped, parked or left st~nding in
violation of subsection A shall be subJect to
being towed away at the owner's expense.
Appropriate signs shall be posted in and a~out
said parking lots specifying the afore~ent~oned
times when stopping, parking and stand~ng.of .

SECTION II:
This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen
15) days after it~ passa~e in the Orange City News, a news-
paper,of general c~rculat~on, pUblished and circulated in
the C~ty of Orange, and shall take effect thirty (30) days
from and after the date of its final passage.
ADOPTED this 17th.dayof 1980.
