AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE AMENDING SECTION 17.06.020 OF TIlE
ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE AND APPROVING THE
RECLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY SITUATED ON THE
SOUTH SIDE OF CHAPMAN AVENUE, EAST OF SOLANA
DRIVE.

RECITALS:
After report thereon by the Planning Commission and after
due public hearings as required by law, and after finding the
facts as shown by Resolution No. 5179 adopted by the City Council,
the City Council of the City of Orange has concluded that the
following amendment to Section 17.06.020 of the Orange Municipal
Code should be adopted:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 17.06.020 of the Orange Municipal Code, by which
there is classified as R-1-6 District, that certain
real property in the City of Orange, County of Orange, State
of California,hereinafter described, is amended in order to change
the zoning classification of said property to the
RD-6 District.Said property is
described as follows:All that certain land situated in the
State of California,County of Orange, City of Orange,
described as follows:That portion of the land allotted to
Nieves Lopez de Peralta, as described in the Final
Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana,
which was entered September 12, 1868 in Book "B", Page
410 of Judgments of the District Court of the 17th
Judicial District in and for Los Angeles County,
California,
described as follows:Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot
19, in Block B" of Land of Oge and Bond, as per
Map thereof recorded in Book 3 at Pages 430 and
431, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California; thence South 10 chains; thence west 10 chains;
thenc~ North la,chains; thence East 10 chains to the po~nt
of beg~nning.EXCEPTING therefrom the West
302 feet thereof.ALSO EXCEPTING therefrom that
portion
described as follows:Beginning at a point 203.53 feet West
of said southeast corner of Lot 19; thence South 282.00
feet; thence

with the ~enterline of Chapman Avenue 154.47 feet
to the West hne of the land conveyed to Theodore C.
Bidlingmaier and wife, recorded July 6, 1946 in Book
1444, Page 24 of Official Records of said Orange county;
thence North along said West line 282.00 feet to
the centerline of Chapman Avenue; thence East along said
centerline 154.47 feet to the point of beginning.SECTION
II:This
ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15)days
after its passage in the Orange City News, a newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in the City of r,
Orange,
and shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after the
date of its final passage.ADOPTED
