ADDrNG CERTArN SPEED LrMrTS TO
SECTrON 10.14.050 OF THE ORANGE
MUNrCrPAL
CODE WHEREAS, on February 9, 1991, the city Council
voted to approve the recommendations of the City
Traffic Commission to establish certain new speed limits
on designated segments of certain streets;
and WHEREAS, speed limits are required by state law to
be established by ordinance;
and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that
the establishment of the recommended speed limits is in
the best interest of the City and the welfare and safety
of the
public.NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Orange does ordain as
follows:SECTrON
r:Subsection CHAPMAN AVENUE is hereby amended to
add the
following:from Newport Boulevard to
Jamboree
Road 45
mph SECTION
rr:The following new subsections are hereby added
to Section 10.14.050, to be placed in their respective
alpha-betical order with the current subsections
thereof:CANYON VIEW

Severability - Should any sentence, section, clause, part or provision
of this ordinance be declared invalid, the same shall not
affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any other part
thereof.SECTrON

summary of this Ordinance shall be published and a certified
copy of the full text of this Ordinance shall be posted in
the Office of the city Clerk at least five (5) days prior to the
City Council meeting at which this Ordinance is to be adopted.
A summary of this Ordinance shall also be published once
within fifteen (15) days after this Ordinance's passage in the
Orange city News, a newspaper of general circulation,published,
and circulated in the city of Orange. The City Clerk shall
post in the Office of the city Clerk a certified copy of the
full text of such adopted Ordinance along with the names of those
city Council members voting for and against the Ordinance in
accordance with Government Code section 36933. This Ordinance shall
take effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of its final
passage.Adopted
