HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD-24-92 Amend Sections fo Ch 15.08, 15.12, 15.16, 15.20 Adoption of and Amendments to Certain State CodesORDINANCE NO. 24- 92 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF CHAPTERS 15.08, 15.12, 15.16, 15.20 AND 15.24 OF TITLE 15 OF THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO ADOPTION OF AND AMEND-MENTS TO CERTAIN STATE CODES.The City Council of the city of Orange does ordain as follows:section I:The index title of section 15.08.020 of Chapter 15.08 of Title 15 is hereby amended to read as follows:15.08.020 section 7005 Amended."section II:section 15.08.020 of Chapter 15.08 of Title 15 is hereby amended to read as follows:section 15.08.020 section 7005 Amended. The following subsection, "Building Official", is added to section 7005.Building Official: For the purpose of this chapter only, the Building Official shall mean the Manager of Code Enforcement Services or their designated representative."section III:section 15.08.030 of Chapter 15.08 of Title 15 is hereby amended to read as follows:section 15.08.030 Violations and Penalties. A. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is committed, continued,or permitted, and each such offense shall be punishable by a fine of not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00), or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both such fine and imprisonment.B. In addition, this code may be enforced by injunction or by other appropriate civil remedy."section IV:section 15.12.030 of Chapter 15.12 of Title 15 is hereby amended to read as follows:section 15.12.030 Violations and Penalties. A. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is committed, continued, or permitted, and each such offense shall be punishable by a fine of not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00), or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both such fine and imprisonment. B. In addition, this code may be enforced by injunction or by other appropriate civil remedy." Section V: Section 15.16.050 of Chapter 15.16 of Title 15 is hereby amended to read as follows: section 15.16.050 Violations and Penalties. A. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is committed, continued, or permitted, and each such offense shall be punishable by a fine of not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00), or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both such fine and imprisonment. B. In addition, this code may be enforced by injunction or by other appropriate civil remedy." section VI: The index title of section 15.20.020 of Chapter 15.20 of Title 15 is hereby amended to read as follows: 15.20.020 Violations & Penalties" section VII: Section 15.24.030 of Chapter 15.24 of Title 15 is herebyamendedtoreadasfollows: Section 15.24.030 Violations and Penalties. A. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is committed, continued, or permitted, and each such offense shall be punishable by a fine of not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00), or byimprisonmentfornotmorethansixmonths, or both such fine and imprisonment. B. In addition, this code may be enforced by injunction or by other appropriate civil remedy." Ord. No. 24-92 SECTION VIII: A summary of this Ordinance shall be published and a certified copy of the full text of this Ordinance shall be postedintheOfficeoftheCityClerkatleastfive (5) days prior to the city Council meeting at which this Ordinance is to be adopted. A summary of this Ordinance shall also be published once within fifteen (15) days after this Ordinance's passage in the Orange City News, a newspaper of general circulation, published, and circulated in the City of Orange. The City Clerk shall post in the Office of the City Clerk a certified copy of the full text of such adopted Ordinance along with the names of those City Council members voting for and against the Ordinance in accordance with Government Code section 36933.
