94 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING
SECTION 17.96.100 A. OF THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL
CODE REGARDING COMPENSATION TO
MEMBERS OF THE DESIGN REVIEW
BOARD WHEREAS, Section 17.96.100 A. of the Orange Municipal Code establishes,
among other things, the compensation to members of the City Design Review Board for attendance
at meetings of the Board;
and WHEREAS, at its meeting ofJanuary 20, 1987, the City Council increased
said compensation from $25 per meeting not to exceed a maximum of $50 monthly to $40 per
meeting not to exceed $80 monthly;
and WHEREAS, Section 17.96.100 A. of the Orange Municipal Code was inadvertently
not amended to reflect such a change;
and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to now rectifY this oversight;
and WHEREAS, it is generally administratively preferable to address compensation
matters by resolution of the City Council, as opposed to revision of an
ordinance.NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ORANGE HEREBY ORDAINS AS
FOLLOWS:SECTION
I:Section 17.96.100 A. of the Orange Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:17.96.100
Meetings--Comoensation--Duties.A. The Design Review Board shall meet a minimum of two times a
month. Its members shall be compensated for each meeting attended in accordance with
the compensation established by the City
Council
by resolution.SECTIONn:A summary of this Ordinance shall be published and a certified copy of the full
text of this Ordinance shall be posted in the Office of the City Clerk at least five (5) days prior
to the City Council meeting at which this Ordinance is to be adopted. A summary of this
Ordinance shall also be published once within fifteen (15) days after this Ordinance's passage in a
newspaper of general circulation, published, and circulated in the City of Orange. The City Clerk shall

names of those City Council members voting for and against the Ordinance in accordance with
Government Code Section 36933. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after
the date of its final passage.
