94 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE
AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF TITLE 2 OF
THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE
PERTAINING TO ADMINISTRATION AND
PERSONNEL.WHEREAS, the City Council has approved
certain departmental organization changes within the
administrative services of the city;
and WHEREAS, amendments to Title 2 of the orange
Municipal Code are necessary to conform with such
organizational
changes.NOW, THEREFORE, the city Council of the City of
Orange does ordain as
follows:SECTION
I:section 2.20.010 of Chapter 2.20 of Title 2 is
hereby amended by deleting therefrom the following departments
and department
heads:Department
of Department
of
Director Department
of Water Superintendent of
Water Management Services Management
Services General Services General Services
Director SECTION
II:section 2.34.010 of Chapter 2.34 of Title 2 is
hereby amended to add subsection "H" thereto to read as
follows:H. Vehicle
Maintenance"SECTION
III:section 2.38.010 of Chapter 2.38 of Title 2 shall
be amended to read as
follows:2.38.010 Director - Duties. The Director of
Community Services shall be responsible for all matters
relating to public recreation, park planning, park
development, social services and building services.
The Director of Community Services shall evaluate
present and future needs for services, recommend
policy, direct and participate in the preparation of
department budget and reports."
SECTION IV:
section 2.45.010 of Chapter 2.45 of Title 2 shall be
amended to read as follows:
2.45.010 Director of Finance - Duties. The Department of
Finance, including Business Services and Purchasing,shall
be supervised by the Director of Finance, who shall
administer the financial affairs of the city."SECTION
V:Chapter
2.46 of Title 2 is hereby deleted in its entirety.
SECTION
VI:A
summary of this Ordinance shall be published and a certified
copy of the full text of this Ordinance shall be posted
in the Office of the City Clerk at least five days prior
to the City Council meeting at which this Ordinance is to
be adopted. A summary of this Ordinance shall also be published
once within fifteen (15) days after this Ordinance'
s passage in a newspaper of general circulation,published,
and circulated in the city of Orange. The city Clerk
shall post in the Office of the city Clerk a certified copy
of the full text of such adopted Ordinance along with the
names of those city Council members voting for and against
the Ordinance in accordance with Government Code Section
36933. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)days
from and after the date of its final passage.Adopted
