Chapman Avenue, Orange Members of the public can access meetings on Spectrum Cable Channel 3 and AT&T U-verse Channel 99 and streamed live and on-demand on the City’s website. All interested persons may submit comments and may be heard on any relevant matter relating to the proposed actions by mail, email, voicemail or in-person, as set forth in the October 18, 2023, Design Review Committee agenda to be posted on the City’s website at www.cityoforange.org. DATE: WEDNESDAY, October 18, 2023 TIME: 5:30 P.M. (or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard) SUBJECT: DESIGN REVIEW NO. 5110-23 – CENTRO RESTAURANT TENANT IMPROVEMENTS PROPERTY LOCATION: 208 E. Chapman Avenue (APN: 390-382-02) REQUEST: A proposal for façade and tenant improvements for a new Italian eatery and café, including new storefront alterations, removal of a rear shed roof with clerestory windows dating from outside of the period of significance for the Historic District to accommodate a new patio behind the building for outdoor seating and signage. The property is a contributor to the Old Towne Orange Historic District. ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: The project is categorically exempt from the provision of the Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines Section 15331 (Historical Resource Restoration/Rehabilitation) because the project consists of alterations to an existing commercial space in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards.
