HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-07-23 DRC- First Golden Village CITY OF ORANGE LEGAL NOTICE OF DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING TO: All Interested Parties SUBJECT: Design Review No. 4983-19 – First Golden Village Duplex SCHEDULED PUBLIC MEETING/HEARING DATE/TIME/LOCATION: The City of Orange Design Review Committee will consider the project at its regularly scheduled meeting on June 7, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard). The meeting will take place in the City Council Chamber, located at 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange. Members of the public can also access meetings on Spectrum Cable Channel 3 and AT&T U-verse Channel 99 and streamed live and on-demand on the City’s website. PROJECT LOCATION: 4531 E. Washington Avenue (APN No.: 393-411-15) PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A proposal to construct two, two-story detached residential units with attached two-car garages, site improvements, and one-foot reduction to the back-up distance in front of the garage of Unit 2. PROJECT APPLICANT: First Golden Village Orange Hills, LLC / Thang Tran LEAD AGENCY: City of Orange, 300 East Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA 92866 ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines 15303 (Class 3 – New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures) because the project consists of the construction of two detached residential units (<10,000 square foot) in an urbanized area zoned for such use, not involving the significant use of hazardous substances, where all necessary public services are available, and where the area is not environmentally sensitive. There is no environmental public review or notice required for a categorical exemption.
