AND APPROVING THE RECLASSIFICATION
OF PROPERTY ASSOCIATED WITH THE
CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY CAMPUS, INCLUDING ADDITION
OF THE FORMER ORANGE UNIFIED
SCHOOL DISTRICT HEADQUARTER'S SITE TO
THE UNIVERSITY

UNIVERSITY RECITALS:After report thereon by the Planning Commission and after due public
hearings as required by law, the City Council of the City of Orange has concluded that
the following amendment to Title 17 of the Orange Municipal Code should
be adopted:NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I:Title 17 of the Orange Municipal Code, is amended in order to change
the zoning classification of property
as follows:From R-4 Multiple Family Residential District to P-I (SP)
Public Institution District and Chapman University Specific Plan, a parcel that is presently
addressed 370 N. Glassell Street and
more specifically described as:The northern half portion of Lot
17, Richland Farm Lots Subdivision, as recorded in Book 5,
Page 123, miscellaneous records of Los Angeles County (CA)
on March 15, 1883;From R-2-6 (SP), Duplex Residential District and
Chapman College Specific Plan, to R-2-6 (SP) Duplex Residential District, parcels
that are presently addressed 427, 445, 485,and 489 N.
That property described by Exhibit B, attached to Orange City Council Resolution
7231 and Ordinance 4-89, approving the Chapman College Specific
Plan;From P-I (SP) Public Institution District, Chapman College Specific Plan, to
P-I (SP)Public Institution District, Chapman University Specific
Plan, including regulations contained in a document dated February 18, 1997, as modified in
Resolution No. PC-12-97.. affecting those parcels described herein and
other parcels identified as:That property described by Exhibit A, attached
to Orange City Council Resolution 7231 and Ordinance 4-
89, approving
the Chapman
College Specific Plan.SECTION II:A summary of this Ordinance shall be published and a
certified copy of the full text of this Ordinance shall be posted in the Office of the City Clerk
at least five (5) days prior to the City Council meeting at which this Ordinance is
adopted. A summary of this Ordinance shall also be published once within fifteen (15)
days after this Ordinance's passage in a newspaper of general circulation, published, and
circulated in the City of Orange. The City Clerk shall post in the Office of the City Clerk
a certified copy of the full text of such adopted Ordinance along with the names
of those City Council members voting for and against the Ordinance in
accordance with Govemment Code Section 36933. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from and
after the
date of its final passage.Adopted this
