AND DESIGN REVIEW NO. 5011-20 – OLD TOWNE GATEWAY
PROPERTY 401 W. CHAPMAN AVENUE, ORANGE, CA
LOCATION
REQUEST: A request to rehabilitate a one-story historic brick building at the corner of W.
Chapman Avenue and N. Cypress Street; remove non-historic sheds to construct
two new buildings (3,470 sq. ft. and 4,140 sq. ft.), rehabilitate a one -story Mission
Revival building on N. Atchison Street; and, create a pedestrian connection
through the center of the site, linking N. Cypress and N. Atchison Streets.
ENVIRONMENTAL
INFORMATION The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines 15331 (Class 31
– Historical Resource Rehabilitation/Restoration) and 15332 (Class 32 – Infill
Development Projects), pending additional technical studies. There is no public
review required.
