r--AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ORANGE ADOPTING THE
NEWLY CODIFIED ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE
PREPARED BY BOOK PUBLISHING
COMPANY.WHEREAS, the Book Publishing Company, Seattle, Washington, has
compiled,edited and published a codification of the permanent and general ordinances of the
City of Orange;
and WHEREAS, there are now on file in the office of the City Clerk, for
public inspection, three copies of a document entitled "Orange Municipal
Code".NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ORANGE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:SECTION
I:There is adopted the "Orange Municipal Code" as compiled, edited and
published by Book Publishing Company, Seattle,
Washington.SECTION
II:This code shall be known as the "Orange Municipal Code" and it shall
be sufficient to refer to said code as the "Orange Municipal Code" in any prosecution
for the violation of any provision of this code or in any proceeding at law or
equity.SECTION
III:
r--Section 1.01.030 of the Orange Municipal Code is repealed and replaced in
its entirety with the
following:The last ordinance included in this code was Ordinance 10-98, passed
July 14,1998. The following ordinances, passed subsequent to Ordinance 10-98,
but prior to adoption of this code, are adopted and made a part of this code:
Ordinance Nos. 9-98,11-98, 12-98, 13-98, 14-98, 15-
SECTION IV.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this code is for any reason
is held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this code. "
SECTION V:
A summary of this Ordinance shall be published and a certified copy of the full
text of this Ordinance shall be posted in the Office of the City Clerk at least five (5) dayspriortotheCityCouncilmeetingatwhichthisOrdinanceistobeadopted. A summaryofthisOrdinanceshallalsobepublishedoncewithinfifteen (15) days after thisOrdimmce's passage in a newspaper of general circulation, published, and circulated in
the City of Orange. The City Clerk shall post in the Office of the City Clerk a certified
copy of the full text of such adopted Ordinance along with the names of those CityCouncilmembersvotingforandagainsttheOrdinanceinaccordancewithGovernment
Code Section 36933. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after the
date of its final passage.
