THE CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING SECTION 2.04.
030 OF THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO THE AGENDA FOR CITY
COUNCIL
MEETINGS.The City Council ofthe City of Orange hereby ordains as
follows:Section 1. Section 2.04.030 of the Orange Municipal Code is hereby amended to
read in its entirety as
follows:2.04.030 Agenda. All matters to be submitted to the Council shall
be delivered to the City Clerk. The City Clerk shall arrange a list of such
matters according to the order of business and furnish each member of the Council,
the City Manager, and the City Attorney with a copy of the same prior to
the Council meeting, and shall post an agenda containing a brief description of
each item of business to be transacted or discussed at the Council meeting,
including items to be discussed in closed session, in accordance with the provisions of
the Ralph M. Brown Act (commencing with Section 54950 of the
California Government Code, as the same may be amended from time to time). No
matter shall be submitted to the Council unless it has been delivered to the City
Clerk in a timely manner prior to the Council meeting, and has received the
prior approval of the City Manager. Any Council Member, upon timely
submittal and after apprising the City Manager, may place matters on the agenda
for discussion purposes under Reports from Mayor or Reports from
Council Members, as the case may
be."Section 2: A summary of this Ordinance shall be published and a certified copy of
the full text of this Ordinance shall be posted in the Office of the City Clerk at least five (5)
days prior to the City Council meeting at which this Ordinance is to be adopted. A summary of
this Ordinance shall also be published once within fifteen (15) days after its passage in a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of Orange. The City Clerk shall post in the Office of the
City Clerk a certified copy of the full text of the adopted Ordinance along with the names of
those City Council members voting for and against the Ordinance in accordance with
Government Code: Section
36933.
