06-14-2022 Public Health Goals Report CITY OF ORANGE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PUBLIC HEALTH GOALS REPORT FOR 2019, 2020, & 2021 DRINKING WATER QUALITY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, to consider the Public Health Goals Report for years 2019, 2020, and 2021, providing information about the presence of contaminants in the drinking water supply detected at levels above Public Health Goals published by the State Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment. The public hearing is being held in accordance with the Calderon-Sher Safe Drinking Water Act of 1996 (herein referred to as the “Act”). The Act requires public water systems with more than 10,000 service connections to prepare a report every three years for contaminants that exceed their respective Public Health Goals. The purpose of the public hearing is to accept and respond to public comment. Any person who wishes to be heard regarding the Public Health Goals Report may appear at the above time, date and place or may send written comments as set forth in the June 14 City Council agenda. If you challenge the matters to be discussed at the public hearing in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues that were raised at the public hearing. All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing. Copies of the Public Health Goals Report are available for public inspection at the Office of Public Works, Water Division, 189 S. Water Street, Orange, CA 92866, and at the City Clerk’s Office, 300 E. Chapman Ave., Orange, CA 92866, during normal business hours.
