NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS (HOME) PROGRAMS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a public hearing,
Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City of
Orange Council Chamber located at 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, California, to review and approve
the CDBG and HOME draft funding recommendations for Fiscal Year 2022-2023.
The City of Orange receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and HOME
Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD). The City received the following amounts for Fiscal Year 2022-23:
1. CDBG - $1,119,937
2. HOME - $486,812
Projects and programs that are approved by the City Council at the public hearing will be incorporated
into the City’s Fiscal Year 2022-23 Action Plan. The Action Plan summarizes how the City plans to use
CDBG, HOME, and other funds to address the needs of Low and Moderate Income residents. This Plan
covers the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, which represents the third year of the City’s approved
Five-Year 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan.
The City is proposing to allocate its CDBG funds to carry out a variety of community development
activities during the year. In addition, the City is proposing to allocate its HOME funds to address
affordable housing needs.
All interested persons may submit comments and may be heard on any relevant matter relating to the
proposed actions by mail, email, voicemail or in -person, as set forth in the June 14, 2022, City Council
