THE CITY OF ORANGE APPROVING ZONE CHANGE
1225-03 TO ALLOW A CHANGE IN THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE SERRANO HEIGHTS SPECIFIC PLAN AND
TO ZONE APPROXIMATELY 10 ACRES PC-
SP (PLANNED COMMUNITY -SPECIFIC PLAN)
UPON PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE
OF SERRANO AVENUE AT ITS INTERSICCTION
WITH
KENDRA DRIVE.ZONE
CHANGE 1225-03 APPLICANT: SUN
CAL COMPANIES AND ORANGE
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT WHEREAS, Zone Change No. 1225-03 was filed in accordance
with the provisions of the City of
Orange Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, Zone Change No. 1225-03 was processed
III the time anJ manner prescribed by
state and local law; and WHEREAS, the environmental impacts of this project
has been analyzed Hi. an Addendum to Final Environmental Impact Report No.
954 and No. 1305; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered
the information contained in the Addendum to FEIR No. 954 and No. 1305, the initial
study comments received during the public review process, and
the response to comments; and WHEREAS, the City Council held one duly advertised hearing
on January 27,2004 for the purpose of considering the Addendum to Final Environmental
Impact Report No. 954 and No. 1305 and Zone Change No, 1225-
03 upon property described as follows:Northwest 14 of
Section 18 Township 4 Range 8 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:SECTION I:Section 17.06.030 of the Orange Municipal Code is
hereby amended in order to change the zoning classification by amending the zoning on the
site depicted on the map attached hen::to as Exhibit
SECTION II:
The proposed zone change described in Section 1 is related to the public welfare, is
consistent with adopted General Plan Amendment 2003-0006, and furthers the objectives
and policies of the General Plan as is more specifically set 1Drth in Resolution 9823, which
is incorporated herein by reference as though fully set
forth.SECTION
III:A summary of this ordinance shall be published and a certified copy of the full text
of this ordinance shall be posted in the Office of the City Clerk at least 5 days prior to the
City Council meeting at which this ordinance is adopted. A summary of this ordinance shall also
be published once within 15 days after the ordinances passage in a newspaper of
general circulation, published, and circulated in the City of Orange,. The City Clerk shall post in
the Office of the City Clerk a certified copy of the full text of such adopted ordinance along
with the names of those City Councilmembers voting for and against the ordinance in accordance
of Government Code Section 36933. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after
the date of its final
passage.ADOPTED this 10th day of February,
