The regular meeting of the City of Orange Planning Commission was called to order 6y Chairman Mason at 7:34 P.M PRESENT: Commissioners Mason, Greek, Hart, Master ABSENT: Commissioner Scott STAFF PRESENT: Stan Soo-Boo, Administrator of Current and Commission Secretary; Jack McGee, Associate Planner; Gene Minshew, Assistant City Attorney; and Gary Johnson, City Engineer. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE IN RE: Minutes of February 19 and March 3. 198b Moved by Commissioner Hart, seconded by Commissioner Master, that the minutes of February 19, 1986 be approved as recorded. AYES: Commissioners Masan, Greek, Hart, Master NOES: Commissioners None ABSENT: Commissioner Scott MOTION CARRIED Moved by Commissioner Master, seconded by Commissioner Hart, that the minutes of March 3, 1986 be approved by as recorded. 0 AYES: Commissioners Mason, Greek, Hart, Master NOES: Commissioners None. ABSENT: Commissioner Scott MOTION CARRIED IN RE: Continued Hearings 1. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 1498, TENTATIVE PARCEL MAR 85-457 - ANTRIUM ASSOCIATES/COVE DEVELOPMENT: Proposed five-lot parcei map creating three lots that will not have direct frontage on a public street. The site isi1.47 acres in size located on the west side of Eckhoff Street, north of Orangewood Avenue. (Continued #rom the meeting of March 3, 19Bb). NOTE: Negative Declaration 1454 has been prepared for this project. ." Planning Commission Minutes March 17, 198b Page 2 Mr. Soo-Hoo stated that the applicant had submitted a letter requesting a b4-day continuance to allow time to modify the proposal. Staff recommended terminating processing of the application and re-advertising at the appropriate time for a new hearing. The public hearing was not re-opened as no one in the audience desired to address this item. Moved by Commissioner Greek, seconded by Commissioner Master, that processing of Conditional Use Permit 1498 and Tentative Parcel Map 85-457 be terminated, and when the applicant is prepared to proceed that new fees be paid and the item be re-advertised. 0 AYES: Commissioners Masoh, Greek, Hart, Master NOES: Commissioners None ABSENT: Commissioner Scott MOTION CARRIED IN RE: Other Business Commissioners Hart and Master requested information regarding the Commissions recommendation that remaining Sphere of Influence area be annexed to the City. Sert Yamasaki commented that the City Council had considered the Commissions recommendation and was pursuing an annexation of perhaps 7,544 acres to the City. IN RE: ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 8x15 P.M. to reconvene at a regular. meeting on April 7, 198b at the Civic Center Council Chambers, 3~Q E. It was decided to have a Study Session at 5:30 p.m. on March 10, 1986, to discuss the Vesting Activities Map, the Williamson Act, and Personal Liability. It was pointed out that the March 17, 1986, meeting would commence at 6:00 p.:~m., prior to the regular meeting, to meet with the Redevelopment people, to hear Jerry Murphy on the General Plan and to discuss the East Orange Study, IN RE: ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m., to reconvene at a regular meeting on March 1~, 1986, at the Civic Center Council Chambers, 300 East Chapman Avenue,-Orange, California.
