NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a Public Hearing
at a Regular Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon
thereafter as the matter may be heard, at the City of Orange Council Chamber, 300 East Chapman
Avenue, Orange, CA, to consider the following request:
SUBJECT: The acquisition of real property from OSH Katella, LLC, and approval of an Agreement to
Convey Land regarding the Katella Terrace Apartments affordable housing project.
APPLICANT: City of Orange
PROPERTY LOCATION: 1249 E. Katella Avenue, Orange, CA
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: The underlying affordable housing project was approved on
December 16, 2019, and determined to be categorically exempt per CEQA Guideline 15332 (Class 32 –
Infill Development Projects). Since approval of the project and filing of the Notice of Exemption, there
has been no change to the project or substantial change in circumstances or new information that would
warrant subsequent environmental analysis. The acquisition of the subject property from OSH Katella,
LLC by the City does not trigger any additional environmental analysis in accordance with CEQA.
FURTHER INFORMATION: All interested persons may appear and be heard or submit comments on
any relevant matter relating to the proposed action by mail, email, voicemail or in person, as set forth in
the February 8, 2022, City Council agenda.
