A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
LUCILLE BAKER OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND
COMMENDING HER FOR MORE THAN TWENTY YEARS
OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE.
WHEREAS, Lucille Baker began her career with the City of
Orange on November 5, 1971, as a Typist Clerk in the City
Clerk's office; and
WHEREAS, Lucille transferred into the Personnel Depart-
ment, assigned to various tasks; and
WHEREAS, she was assigned to City Records as a Clerk
performing clerical assignments; and
WHEREAS, Lucille then transferred to the Police Department
August 25, 1975, and was assigned as a Police Typist Clerk I;
and
WHEREAS, Lucille was promoted to Police Clerk in December,
1977; and
WHEREAS, she developed a system of control for CLETS/NCIC
instruction material and usage cataloging; and
WHEREAS, Lucille took over the Warrant/Subpoena Desk and
developed a close working relationship with the District
Attorney's Office and the court system of Orange County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the city of Orange hereby expresses sincere appreciation and
congratulations to Lucille Baker for her more than twenty years
of loyal and dedicated service to the City of Orange; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council, on behalf of
the citizens of Orange and her fellow employees, wishes Lucille
a healthy, prosperous and satisfying retirement.
