RES-7988 Approving Zone Change No. 1141-91RESOLUTION NO. 7988 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE UPHOLDING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND APPROVING THE RECLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY SITUATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF CHAPMAN AVENUE AND W A YFIELD STREET FROM THE C-l (LIMITED BUSINESS)DISTRICT TO THE C-2 (GENERAL BUSINESS) DISTRICT.ZONE CHANGE 1141-91 APPLICANT: ROBERT A. SMITH RECITALS:After report thereon by the Planning Commission and after due public hearings as required by law, and after receiving a recommendation from the Planning Commission,recommending, by Resolution No. PC-47-91, that the reclassification of property situated at the northeast corner of Chapman Avenue and Wayfield Street from C-l (Limited Business)District to C-2 (General Business) District be approved, the City Council considered Zone Change 1141-91 and determined that the recommendation of the Planning Commission should be upheld and Zone Change 1141-91 be approved. Subject property is more particularly described in attached Exhibit "A".During the public hearing, the City Council found the facts more particularly described in Resolution No. PC-47-91 approving Zone Change 1141-91.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange that the recommendation of the Planning Commission be upheld and that Zone Change 1141-91 be approved for the following reasons:1. The uses permitted under the proposed C-2 zoning would allow for better utilization of the property.2.
