ORANGE UPHOLDING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION AND APPROVING THE
RECLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY SITUATED AT THE
NORTHEAST CORNER OF CHAPMAN AVENUE AND
W A YFIELD STREET FROM THE C-l (LIMITED
BUSINESS)DISTRICT TO THE C-2 (GENERAL
BUSINESS) DISTRICT.ZONE
CHANGE 1141-91 APPLICANT:

A. SMITH RECITALS:After report thereon by the Planning Commission and after due
public hearings as required by law, and after receiving a recommendation from
the Planning Commission,recommending, by Resolution No. PC-47-91, that the
reclassification of property situated at the northeast corner of Chapman Avenue and Wayfield
Street from C-l (Limited Business)District to C-2 (General Business) District
be approved, the City Council considered Zone Change 1141-91 and determined
that the recommendation of the Planning Commission should be upheld and Zone Change
1141-91 be approved. Subject
property is more particularly described in attached Exhibit "A".During the public hearing,
the City Council found the facts more particularly
described in Resolution No. PC-47-91 approving Zone Change 1141-91.NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange that the
recommendation of the Planning Commission be upheld
and that Zone Change 1141-91 be approved for the following reasons:1. The uses
permitted under
the proposed C-2 zoning would allow for better utilization of the property.2. The proposed
C-2 zoning
is consistent with the City's General
