RES-7963 Requesting to Include Improvement of Loma StreetRESOLUTION NO. 7963 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY LOCAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY AND THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ORANGE COUNTY COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAMS THE IMPROVEMENT OF LOMA STREET WHEREAS, the City of Orange desires to improve Loma Street between Taft Avenue and Mesa Drive; and WHEREAS, the city of Orange has been declared by the Orange county Local Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M "turnback" funds; and WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and WHEREAS, the City of Orange will provide matching funds for the improvement of Loma street between Taft Avenue and Mesa Drive as required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures Manual; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Local Transportation Authority or Board of Supervisors intend to allocate funds for the improvement of streets within incorporated cities and the County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city Council of the City of Orange hereby requests the Orange County Local Transportation Authority and the Board of Supervisors to allocate funds in the amount specified in the city's application to said agencies from Measure M or the Arterial Highway Financing Program. said funds shall be matched by funds from said City as required and shall be used to aid the city in the improvement of Loma Street between Taft Avenue and Mesa Drive. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this ReSOlution, the Mayor of the city of Orange is authorized to approve on behalf of the city Council, the Arterial Highway Financing Program Project Administration Agreement, should said project be approved by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange.
