A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
LIEUTENANT ED FALKENSTIEN AND COMMEND-
ING HIM FOR MORE THAN lWENTY-SIX YEARS
OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF
ORANGE.WHEREAS, Ed FaIkenstien came to the City of Orange on May 1, 1967 as a
Police Officer where his assignments included patrol, narcotics and burglary detective, and
Master Police Officer;
and WHEREAS, Ed was promoted to Sergeant on November 25, 1984, where
his assignments included patrol, supervising vice and intelligence, robbery and homicide as
well as thechecks/fraud detail;
and WHEREAS, on January 13, 1992, Ed was promoted to Lieutenant where he
was assigned to patrol and Watch Commander;
and WHEREAS, Ed received his BA degree in Public Management, he has received
Post Advance Certificate and Post Supervisory Certificate.;
and WHEREAS, Ed has made outstanding and lasting contributions to the City of
Orange and to the citizens during his outstanding career;
and WHEREAS, Ed's professionalism, expertise and dedication to the City of Orange
and its citizens will be sorely missed after his
retirement.NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, on behalf of
the citizens of Orange, hereby expresses sincere appreciation to Ed FaIkenstien for his loyal
and dedicated service to the City of
Orange.BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council, on behalf of all employees
of the City of Orange, wishes Ed health, happiness and fulfillment in retirement and all his
future
endeavors.ADOPTED this 9th day of November,
1993.
