A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND
UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 14
WHEREAS, the City Engineer prepared and submitted to the
City Council that certain document entitled, "Engineer's Report,
Underground Utility District No. 14," dated August, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 8202
setting August 17, 1993, as the date of public hearing to
ascertain whether the public necessity, health, safety and
welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and
associated overhead structures within that area of the city
generally located on Tustin Street from Southern Pacific Railroad
right-of-way to Katella Avenue, and Katella Avenue
from Tustin Street to Cambridge Street and to consider
the underground installation of the aforementioned appurtenances
for supplying electric, communication or similar associated services
to the residents of the City of
Orange; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Orange Municipal
Code Chapter 12.44, the City Clerk gave notice of time and place
of such public hearing to all affected property owners as shown
on the last equalized assessment roll and also to
all concerned utilities by mail to determine whether to form
an underground utility
district; and WHEREAS, such hearing was duly held at the 7:00 p.
m. session of the Council meeting of the 17th day of August, 1993,
and all interested persons were given an opportunity to be
heard; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines
that the pUblic necessity, health, safety and welfare require
the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead
structures and the installation underground of the
aforementioned appurtenances in proposed Underground utility District
No. 14.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the city of Orange
as follows:1. That pursuant to section 12.44.050 of
the Orange Municipal Code, the area particularly described in
Exhibit "A"and shown on the map in Exhibit "B", said exhibits
being attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby declared to
be added and annexed into Underground Utility District No. 14 of
the City of Orange which the City Council hereby declares
to
be established.2. That the city Council does hereby order the
removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures
and the underground installation of wires and facilities
electric, communication or similar or associated service within
said area on or before January 31, 1996.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to notify all
affected public utilities and persons owning real property within
the herein described area of the establishment of Underground
utility District No. 14 by the adoption of this Resolution within
ten (10) days after the date of its adoption. The city Clerk
shall further notify said property owners of the necessity that,
if they or any person occupying such property desire to continue
to receive electric, communication or similar or associated
service, they or their occupants shall, by January 31, 1996,
provide all necessary utility changes on their premises so as to
receive such service from the lines of the supplying utility or
utilities at a new location, subject to applicable rules and
regulations of the respective utility or utilities on file with
the Public utilities commission of the state of California. Such
notification shall be made by mailing a copy of this Resolution
together with a copy of Chapter 12.44 of the orange Municipal
Code to all affected property owners as such are shown on the
last equalized assessment roll and to the affected utilities.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Exhibit "B", being a map of
Underground Utility District No. 14, shall not be published.

A strip of land 100 feet in width, lying 50 feet on each side of the foUowing described centerline of Tustin
Street:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 1 of Tract No, 4669 as shown on a map recorded in Book 165
Pages 23 and 24 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, said point being on the
West line of Tustin Street, 100 feet in width; thence North 890 33' 15" East along the Easterly prolongation
of the North line of said Lot I a distance of 50,00 feet to a point on the centerline of said Tustin Street, said
point being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING of the centerline of said 100 feet strip of land; thence
South 00 49' 20" East along said centerline a distance of 1219.49 feet more or less, to the prolongation of
the Southerly line of KateUa Avenue.
