RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE ADOPTING THE INTERSTATE
5 NORTH CORRIDOR AESTHETIC
THEME AND GUIDELINES WHEREAS,
the City of Orange, the Orange County Transportation Authority, and the Department
of Transportation, State of California have previously entered into an agreement pertaining
to the widening of the Interstate 5 Freeway; and WHEREAS,
representatives of the parties have met and conferred concerning the aesthetic
features and the themes and landscaping of the widening project; and WHEREAS,
the representatives of the parties have presented a document entitled "The Interstate
5 North Corridor Aesthetic Theme and Guidelines" (having a final release date of January
6, 1995), and have recommended that the document be adopted by their respective entities
as the guideline for the design and landscaping of the freeway widening project.NOW
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council does hereby accept said
document entitled "The Interstate 5 North Corridor Aesthetic Theme and Guidelines" and order
the document to be filed with the Office of the City Clerk.BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby adopt the "Interstate 5
North Corridor Aesthetic Theme and Guidelines" as the policy of the City of Orange for the design
and landscaping of the freeway widening project.THE
FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City
