A RESOLUTION OF THE ORANGE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
APPROVING, IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROPOSED THIRD
AMENDMENT TO THE SOUTHWEST REDEVELOPMENT PLAN, THE
PLAN AMENDMENT, RELOCATION PLAN AND REPORT TO
COUNCIL, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE AGENCY TO
TRANSMIT THE REPORT TO COUNCIL AND THIRD AMENDMENT
TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE
NHEREAS, the Agency has prepared a proposed Third Amendment to the Southwest
Redevelopment Plan (the "Third Amendment") for the existing Southwest Redevelopment Project Area. In
connection therewith, the Agency has prepared the Agency's Report to City Council (the "Report"), which
meets the requirements prescribed by Redevelopment Law Section 33352. The Third Amendment and the
Report are on file in the office of the City Clerk and available for public inspection; and
WHEREAS, adoption of the Third Amendment would add the three parcels located at the
northwest corner of La Veta Avenue and Main Street and the ten parcels along the east side of Alpine Road
between Culver and La Veta Avep.ues to the existing Southwest Redevelopment Project Area (the "Third
Amendment Area"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33411 of the Redevelopment Law, the Agency must prepare a
relocation plan for families or persons who may be temporarily or permanently displaced from housing
facilities located with the Third Amendment Area only. Pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section
33411, the Agency previously prepared and approved a draft Relocation Plan for the Third Amendment
Area (the "Relocation Plan") which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and available for public
inspection; and
WHEREAS, the Agency adopted the Rules Governing Participation and Preferences by Property
Owners and Business Occupants (the "Owner Participation Rules") for the existing Southwest
Redevelopment Project Area by Resolution No. ORA-0105 on April 19, 1988 and reaffirmed the
Owner Participation Rules by Resolution No. ORA-0308 on April
23, 1996.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Orange Redevelopment Agency,
as follows:Section 1. Pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 33345 and 33339.5,
the Owner Participation Rules are on file in the Office of the City Clerk and available for
public inspection.Section 2. The Agency hereby approves, for purposes of conducting the joint public hearing
of the Agency and the City Council, the Third Amendment, the Relocation Plan, and the Report to
Council and authorizes and directs Agency staff to transmit the Report and the Third Amendment to the
