A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE
AMENDING THE TOP MANAGEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 8362 TO
ADD THE CLASSIFICATION OF INVESTMENT OFFICER AT SALARY
RANGE 480, HOURLY RATE OF $22.5462 TO $28.9096, DELETE
THE CLASSIFICATIONS OF FISCAL AGENT-TREASURER AND
FISCAL AGENT, AND DIRECT STAFF TO AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR
1995-1996 BUDGET TO REFLECT THIS CHANGE EFFECTIVE APRIL

1996.WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of establishing a
classification responsible for assisting the City Treasurer with the investment of city
and redevelopment funds and performing other functions related to investment
and revenue projection;
and WHEREAS, the personnel staff conducted a study to determine
the appropriate classification and compensation levels of this proposed position
as compared with positions performing similar duties in other agencies;
and WHEREAS, in order to provide a competitive compensation level and
recruit and retain competent personnel to perform the duties of this critical position,
staff recommends the creation of the Investment Officer classification at salary
range 480, hourly rate $22.5462 to $28,
9096.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Orange that Resolution No. 8362 relating to the classification, compensation,
and terms of employment of designated management, staff management, and
labor confidential employees be amended to include under Exhibit B the classification
of Investment Officer at salary range 480, delete the classifications of Fiscal
Agent-Treasurer and Fiscal Agent, and further resolve that staff be authorized to
adjust the Fiscal Year 1995-1996 budget to reflect this change effective April
9, 1996 ADOPTED this 9th day of
