A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE, REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY TO ALLOCATE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE DESIGN
PROJECT ON CANNON STREET (FORMERLY KNOWN AS
LOMA STREET) AND BRIDGE WIDENING FROM SANTIAGO
CANYON ROAD TO LEXINGTON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority approved a Combined
Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for fiscal year 1995/96; and
WHEREAS, the program includes $60,000 in fiscal year 1995/96 for a design
project on Cannon Street and Bridge Widening between Santiago Canyon Road and
Lexington Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange has adopted a General Plan Circulation Element
which does not preclude implementation of the MP AH within its jurisdiction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Orange, hereby
requests the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate $60,000 of CTFP funds
from the G.M.A. Program for the design of said project to be transferred to the City of
Orange upon acceptance of the final report by the Orange County Transportation
Authority. This request is in conformance with the CTFP allocation process for (100)
percent ofthe approved amount.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Orange agrees to fund its share
of the improvement costs of the above indicated fiscal year and any additional costs over
the identified programmed amount.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Orange, has awarded the
contract for the design project on September 12, 1995 for $60,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Orange has: 1) designed the
project improvements, and 2) completed required preparatory work in accordance with
the standards required by the City/County and other affected jurisdictions involved with
said project.
