A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE AGREEING TO A RE-
DISTRIBUTION OF PROPERTY TAXES FOR
ANNEXATION NO. CA97-
02 WHEREAS, the buyers of an abandoned alleyway north of Chapman Avenue,
between Earlham and Hewes Streets, have requested annexation of the property to the City of
Orange,because their adjacent property is located within the City;
and WHEREAS, Section 99(b) of the Revenue and Taxation Code requires
jurisdictions involved in any jurisdiction change to agree to a property tax redistribution prior to the
change being complete;
and WHEREAS, the City of Orange and the County of Orange have agreed to a
Master Property Tax Transfer Agreement establishing a formula for said redistribution;
and WHEREAS; Annexation No. CA97-02, Mattern, does meet the criteria
for an undeveloped annexation, as described in the Master Property Tax
Transfer Agreement;NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Orange does hereby agree to a redistribution of property tax for Annexation No. CA97 -02,
Mattern, pursuant to the undeveloped provisions of the Master Property Tax
Transfer Agreement.ADOPTED this lMhdayof
