ORDER - DIRECTOR
COONTZ: "In this last paragraph (of the memo dated January 15,
1991 regarding Proposed Policy statement-Legal Consultants), because
I am a member of the Board of Directors and
of the Executive Committee, it says, 'The OHDC Board of Directors
is prepared to seek their own legal counsel if Stradling, Yocca, Carlson &
Rauth agrees to continue to serve as Agency counsel.' This
sentence should be struck from the report and not be
made a part of the public record. This has not come back to the
Board of Directors as a decision. It sounds as if we have made some
motion to do so. I am a member of the Board of Directors and did
not participate in that. So, therefore, It is improper to indicate
it this way. That has to be reiterated that we have not
yet had an Executive Committee meeting. We need to get back to
what the bylaws say."Chairman Beyer commented
the subject sentence will be struck from the Memorandum, as
requested by Director Coontz.6. REPORTS FROM

in that position until the Board of Directors decides whether it wants
to seek outside legal counsel to avoid a possible conflict
of interest.ADJOURNMENT The Orange Redevelopment Agency
