RES-8969 Revising Master Schedule of Fees Regarding Paramedic Subscription FeeRESOLUTION NO, 8969 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE REVISING RESOLUTION NO, 8196 THE MASTER SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES AS AUTHORIZED BY ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 3,10 COVERING THE PARAMEDIC SUBSCRIPTION FEE, WHEREAS, On June 12, 1984, and pursuant to Chapter 3.10 of the Orange Municipal Code, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 6100 which established a Master Schedule of Fees and Charges; and WHEREAS, the Master Schedule of Fees and Charges has been revised from time to time, the last time being June 29, 1993 when Resolution No. 8196 was adopted by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Master Schedule should again be amended to include bi-monthly billing of Paramedic Subscription fees as well as a flat fee structure of $36 armually for non- residential subscribers.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange as follows:1. Resolution 8196, adopted June 29, 1993, is hereby amended and the attachment entitled Amendment to Master Schedule of Fees and Charges is hereby adopted,authorizing the bi-monthly billing of paramedic fees in the amount of $6. 00 bi-monthly for City of Orange utility customers and authorizing a flat fee of $ 36 armually for both residential and business subscribers.2. The City Council finds that the fees and charges set forth in the attached Master Schedule of Fees and Charges do not exceed the reasonable costs of providing the respective goods, facilities and/or services pertaining to each fee and charge.3. The fees, charges, and rates listed in the Master Schedule of Fees and Charges as amended hereby shall be effective for the subscription period beginning on September 15,1998.4. If any fee, charge or rate set forth in this Resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held to be unconstitutional or otherwise invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect any other fee, application thereof, which can be implemented without the invalid fee, charge or rate, or application thereof, and to this end the fees, charges and rates of this Resolution are declared to be severable.
