A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF
ARTERIAL HIGHWAY REHABILITATION PROJECTS
TO THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAM.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE
HEREBY RESOLVES, DETERMINES, AND ORDERS AS
FOLLOWS THAT:
WHEREAS, the City of Orange desires to implement the transportation
improvements listed below; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange has been declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M
turnback" funds; and
WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of
Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange will provide matching funds for each project as
required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures
Manual: and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate
funds for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the
County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange will not use Measure M funds to supplant
Developer Fees or other commitments; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange will not use Arterial Highway Rehabilitation
Funding as a supplement to their existing pavement management program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Orange hereby requests that the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds
in the amounts specified in the City's application to said City from the Combined
Transportation Funding Programs. Said funds shall be matched by funds from said City
as required and shall be used as supplemental funding to aid the City in the improvement
for the following streets:
TUSTIN STREET from Fairhaven Avenue to Chapman Avenue.
TUSTIN STREET from Chapman Avenue to Collins Avenue.
