A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING
APPRECIATION TO FRANK F. HARLAN II
OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
AND COMMENDING HIM FOR OVER
NINETEEN YEARS OF LOYAL AND
DEDICATED SERVICE.
WHEREAS, Frank Harlan began his career with the City of Orange in
January of 1980 as a Street Sweeper Operator with the Street Division of the Public
Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, on September 20, 1987, Frank was promoted to the position of
Lead Sweeper Operator; and
WHEREAS, in June of 1988, Frank completed the Level III police reserve
academy in preparation for career opportunities; and
WHEREAS, on October 9, 1988, Frank was promoted to the position of Code
Enforcement Officer with the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Frank also served as a board member of the Professional,
Technical, and Clerical Employees Association; and
WHEREAS, Frank has served in various capacities with non-
profit organizations in the community for the benefit of the City's youth
groups.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, on
behalf of the employees and citizens of the City of Orange, hereby expresses to Frank F.
Harlan II sincere appreciation for over nineteen years of loyal and dedicated service and
wishes Frank and his wife, Becky, a happy and fulfilling
retirement.ADOPTED this 8th day of June,
