A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE IN MEMORY OF BARBARA
BOZMAN, SECRETARY, EXPRESSING
APPRECIATION FOR TWENTY-FIVE YEARS
OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO
THE ORANGE POLICE
DEPARTMENT.WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Bozman, began her service with the City of Orange
Police Department as a clerk/typist on August 5, 1975;
and WHEREAS, Barbara, AKA Barbara "Bozperson", excelled in her work performance
and rose to the position of Administrative Secretary;
and WHEREAS, was the Secretary to the Chief of Police Wayne Streed between 1985
and 1989;
and WHEREAS, received numerous commendations from the City of Orange, the
Orange Police Department and the community;
and WHEREAS, during her career with the Orange Police Department Barbara was a
hard working, highly motivated, innovative employee, was well organized, had
outstanding interpersonal skills, streamlined many procedures, and presented a professional image for
the Police Department;
and WHEREAS, Barbara retired on August 22,2000 and succumbed to cancer on August
23,2000;
and WHEREAS, Barbara A. Bozman's memory will live in all our hearts, we wish Barbara'
s family the very best for her loving
memory;
I""'NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, on behalf of
the citizens of Orange, posthumously recognizes Barbara for her 25 years of loyal and
dedicated service to the City of Orange and the Orange Police
