RES-9317 Temporary Street Closure for Special EventRESOLUTION NO. 9317 r" A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE TEMPORARILY CLOSING A PORTION OF SPRING STREET BETWEEN PROSPECT STREET AND SERANADO STREET FROM 6:00 A.M. TO 12:00 MIDNIGHT ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30,2000 FOR A SPECIAL EVENT. WHEREAS, Vehicle Code Section 2110 I (e) authorizes cities to close portions of streets for celebrations and local special events when, in the opinion of the City Council, the closing is necessary for the safety and protection of persons who are to use that portion of the street during the temporary closing; and WHEREAS, the Orange High School Panther Guard has requested a temporary street closurt;: to accommodate a band, dance and color guard field tournament at Fred Kelly Stadium on Saturday, September 30, 2000. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council ofthe City of Orange does resolve as follows: Section I: That Spring Street between Prospect Street and Seranado Street, be closed on Saturday -September 30th, 2000, from 6:00 A.M. to 12:00 Midnight.Section II:That before said closure shall occur the Orange High School Panther Guard shall provide all signing, barricades and traffic control necessary for the closure acceptable to the City including the Police and Public Works Departments.Section III:I""' That before said closure shall occur the Orange High School Panther Guard shall notify area residents of the vent and temporary street closure in accordance with the Police Department' s directions.
