2,1986;
Joan, hiring on as a Planner Assistant I, immediately began her climb up the
career ladder working as an Assistant Planner, Associate Planner, Senior Project Planner
and ultimately a Principal Planner.
During her career in Orange, Joan has been project manager to many successful
residential development projects including Crawford Hills, Pulte Homes in Santiago Hills
and Hidden Creek. She was also coordinator of annexations to the City and the City
representative on several countywide planning organizations.
Joan has successfully dealt with issues and projects ranging from the Zoning
Ordinance Update, updating the City's CEQA Guidelines, and Environmental
Coordinator. She will be leaving the City with an updated Housing Element and a
forward path for implementation of the Trails and Bikeways Master Plan and Master Plan
of Recreational Trails.
One of her most unusual and unique tasks with the City was videotaping potbelly
pigs, miniature horses and pygmy goats on residential property.
After years of planning under Joan's leadership and technical expertise, the R.J.
