Appeal No. 479 Design Review Committee No. 3458 Applicant: Paul Hudson Appellant: Councilman Mike Alvarez RECITALS: WHEREAS, on September 21,2000, the Design Review Committee (DRC) No. 3458 denied applicant's request for approval of replacement windows on a Craftsman Bungalow residence located at 212 S. The proposed window replacement is not contrary to the Secretary of the Interior Standards:, which discourages removing or changing windows that are important in defining the historical character of the building so that, as a result, the character is diminished. 3. The Historic Resource Inventory for the aforementioned property makes no reference to the subject attic windows as character defining. 4. The design elements of the property listed in the Historic Resource Inventory remain vt:ry much intact.5. The new wooden windows are historically accurate in size, style, and placement.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange that Appf'al No.4 79 is upheld for the following reasons:1.
