ACTION: Approved the minutes with the correction to page 3 noted by
Commissioner Beil.

II. ORAL PRESENTATIONS
None this meeting.
III. CONSENT CALENDAR
A. Request for the installation of red curb markings around the inside radius of
the turn at Almond Avenue and Swidler Place.

copy. Chairman Fortier opened the public hearing for the following discussion:
Rick & Shannon Young, 165 S. Swidler Pl – In favor of the request. Keeping this
area clear of cars will improve visibility for everyone trying to negotiate this turn.
Chairman Fortier closed the public hearing and returned the issue to the
Commission for further discussion and a motion.

ACTION: Approved the installation of red curb markings beginning 30
feet north of the turn on Swidler Place, continuing around the turn
terminating at the driveway of 3615 E. Almond Ave. [119 linear feet]
and approve the installation of a double yellow centerline around
the turn.

B. Request for the installation of red curb markings on the south side of the
driveway serving 2579 N. Orange-Olive Road.

IV. CONSIDERATION ITEMS
1. Request for the implementation of permit parking restrictions on the 100 block of
N. Grand Street.

copy. Chairman Fortier opened the public hearing for the following discussion.
Greg Lewin, 127 N. Grand St. – In favor of the request, will appreciate being able
to park closer to his home.
Chairman Fortier closed the public hearing and returned the issue to the
Commission for further discussion and a motion.

ACTION: Approved the request to implement permit parking restrictions
on the 100 block of N. Grand St. within the University Parking
Permit Area. The Commission further directed staff to send out
letters to affected households notifying them of the appropriate
details of the parking permits.

VI. ADJOURNMENT
After discussion of today’s Agenda items the City Traffic Commission meeting was
concluded, and as there were no further requests for action under Oral
Presentations, the Chairman adjourned this session of the City Traffic
Commission.
The next meeting of the City Traffic Commission is scheduled:
5:30 P.M.
