A. Request for the installation of 50 feet of red curb markings on the south side of the
driveway serving 692 N. Batavia St.

ACTION: Approved the installation of 59 feet of red curb markings on the south
side of the driveway serving 692 N. Batavia St., and look at the gray paint
just to the north of this driveway.

IV. CONSIDERATION ITEMS
1. Request for the installation of “NO PARKING ANYTIME” restrictions on both sides
of Walnut Ave. between Center St. and the westerly property line of Chapman
University’s Orange St. parking lot.

Petronella opened the public hearing for the following discussion.
Mark Hickner, EDAW (Contractor for Chapman University) – Spoke in favor of the
request.
Chairman Petronella closed the public hearing and returned the item to the Commission for
further discussion and a motion.
ACTION: Approved the installation of “NO PARKING ANYTIME” restrictions
on both sides of Walnut Ave. between Center St. and the westerly
property line of Chapman University’s Orange St. parking lot; install
signs and appropriate curb markings.

2. Request for the installation of a STOP control device and red curb markings at the intersection
of Quail Lane and Pearl Street.

Victoria Nelson, 177 N. Quail Ln. – Opposed to the request.
Beverly Ravellette, 194 N. Quail Ln. – Opposed to the request.
Chairman Petronella closed the public hearing and returned the item to the Commission for
further discussion and a motion.
ACTION: 1) Denied the request for a STOP control device.
2) Approved the request to install red curb markings as follows:
a) 30 ft. on the north side of Pearl St. adjacent to the STOP sign on
Cannon St.
b) 20 ft. on the south side of Pearl St. adjacent to the STOP sign on
Cannon St.

3. Request for the installation of “2 Hour” parking restrictions in front of 453 S. Orange
Street.

V. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS
None this month.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
After discussion of today’s Agenda the City Traffic Commission meeting was
concluded, and as there were no further requests for action under Oral
Presentations, the Chairman adjourned this session of the City Traffic
Commission.
The next meeting of the City Traffic Commission is scheduled:
5:30 P.M.
