III. CONSENT CALENDAR
A. Request for a “1-HOUR” time limit parking restrictions on Clark St.
adjacent to 814 W. Chapman Ave.

The oral presentation is based on the written staff report; please
refer to your copy. Chairman Beil opened the public hearing for the
following discussion:
Diane LaDuca, 814 W. Chapman Ave. – The parking situation has adversely
affected the business and we have experienced quite a percentage of loss of sales
due to the fact that people cannot access the building. We think this will help us,
it’s proportional to the increase in parking, each year it has increased, we’re not

sure just why but that’s the way it is most of the day. It would really help us a lot
and we appreciate your consideration.
Chairman Beil – Do you have any idea where the people are going?
Diane LaDuca – There are some automotive businesses around here that use that
for their inventory and they have their customers wait there for their cars. Down
the street are duplexes and many of them have more than 2 families living in each
duplex so that has caused overflow, I think. That’s just from my observations,
not an actual study.
Chairman Beil closed the public hearing and returned the item to the
Commission for further discussion and a motion:
ACTION: Approved the request for a “1-HOUR” time limit parking
zone, and install 65 ft. of green curb on Clark St. adjacent
to 814 W. Chapman Ave.

1. Request for the installation of an “All-Way” STOP control at the
intersection of Parker St. and Almond Ave.

VI. ADJOURNMENT
After discussion of today’s Agenda the City Traffic Commission meeting was
concluded, and as there were no further requests for action under Oral
Presentations, the Chairman adjourned this session of the City Traffic Commission.
The next meeting of the City Traffic Commission is scheduled:
