A RESOLUTION 01<' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO ROSS SEYMOUR OF THE CITY OF ORANGE
FIRE DEPARTMENT AND COMMEND HIM FOR
MORE THAN TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS OF
LOYAL AND DEDICATED
SERVICE.WHEREAS, Ross Seymour began his career with the City of Orange
Fire Department on May 24, 1971, was promoted to Fire Engineer on January I, 1974,
in October of 1982, promoted to Captain and in Jum, of 1991 he was made Deputy
Fire Marshal for the City of Orange;
and WHEREAS, Ross was very active in his career as a member of the Haz
Mat Response Team. He was an active member in both the Southern California
Fire Prevention Officers and Orange County Fire Officers groups and held a seat on the
code review committee for the Southern California Fire Prevention Officers Association;
and WHEREAS, in his years as Deputy Fire Marshal, Ross was frequently and
highly praised for his professionalism and cooperation in working with the public on
projects;
and WHEREAS, Ross as a valued member of the Fire Department, will be
missed.NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, I, Mark A. Murphy, Mayor of
the City of Orange, on behalf of the entire City Council, recognize and congratulate
Ross Seymour for his twenty-eight years of loyal and dedicated service to the City
of Orange and that the City Council on behalf of all the citizens of Orange wish Ross and
his wife Donna a long, happy, and
